Season 1 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place was announced on March 22, 2024 by Disney Channel. [1][2] Production began on May 14, 2024 and wrapped on November 15, 2024. The 21-episode season premiered on October 29, 2024[3][4] and concluded on February 28, 2025.
Premise[]
The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.

- Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is the sixth Disney Channel Original Series set as a revival series after Win, Lose or Draw (from Teen Win, Lose or Draw), Girl Meets World (from Boy Meets World), Raven's Home (from That's So Raven), DuckTales (from DuckTales), and Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp (from Bug Juice).
- The first sneak peek of the series was shown right after the Disney Channel premiere of Descendants: The Rise of Red on August 9, 2024.
