Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is a Disney Channel and Disney+ original series that serves as a sequel to Wizards of Waverly Place which was created by Todd J. Greenwald. The series stars Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora, Mimi Gianopulos and David Henrie. The series follows a now-adult Justin Russo's return to magic when a powerful young wizard shows up at his door.
Selena Gomez, Maria Canals-Barrera, and David DeLuise reprised their Wizards of Waverly Place roles.
The series premiered on October 29, 2024 on Disney Channel.
Premise[]
Set 15 years after the original Wizards of Waverly Place in 2026, continuing into 2027, the series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada Russo, Roman Russo, and Milo Russo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.
Billie, a powerful young wizard at the center of a mysterious prophecy, is sent to live in the mortal world with the only wizard teacher who can help her control her powers — Justin Russo.
