The Waverly Sub Station is a deli restaurant situated at 5102 Waverly Place in the borough of Manhattan in New York's Greenwich Village neighborhood. The restaurant is owned by the main family of the show, the Russos.
They also live above the shop in their apartment, The Loft, which is entered via a spiral staircase. The sub station is designed to look like a subway station, the idea coming from Mr. Russo. Their freezer is known to magically hold the Russo Family Wizard Lair. Aside from Harper, the staff of the sub station is made up of members of the Russo family. During the Waverly Place County Fair, they would run a haunted house, which was closed due to the lack of a scare factor.
There have been many jokes referring to the fact that the Sub Station serves stale bread, old meat, etc.
In over a decade, Max was able to turn the Sub Station into a franchise and earn a fortune. Theresa and Jerry retired.
However, by the time Minister Bigelow McFigglehorn came under the control of the Eye of Evilini, after giving Roman and Milo Russo their wands, the lair had already been deserted and transformed into Lord Morsus’ lair. This is where he conducts his holographic meetings with McFigglehorn and Quentin Thompson, the Orc, and later exacted his plan to force Billie to open a rift to the world of dark magic.

The Waverly Sub Station is known to sell sandwiches, soda, and briefly pasta. They are also known to sell red and blue chips and coffee cake. They also run specials such as 'Meat me in Turkey', 'Meat me in Little Italy', and 'The Brooklyn Bridge'. They likewise frequently have in-house specials such as their hot dogs.
