Season 2 of Wizards of Waverly Place aired on the Disney Channel from September 12, 2008 to August 21, 2009 for a total of thirty episodes.

Premise

Alex and Justin have new love interests Dean Moriarty, and Juliet Van Heusen respectively. Alex reveals to Harper that she is a wizard.

The series characters cross over with The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana in part one and two of Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana featuring character from all three series.

  • Season 2 of Wizards of Waverly Place is the series's season to feature the entire main character sextet group for the largest and highest number of episodes having featured it for 19 of its 30 episodes which is more than the numbers of episodes that all the other 3 seasons featured all 6 main characters for.
  • This is the last episode to have a full televised run in the 2000s.
  • This season coincidentally premiered on the same date as its successor’s second season, 16 years before it.
  • Ironically, while this season is the largest in the franchise, Season 2 of Beyond is the shortest.
