Get Along, Little Zombie

Rinaldi's wand is a wand once possessed by the great wizard Rinaldi and it is the most powerful wand in the Wizard World.

The wand was created centuries ago by unknown individuals and it was imbued with the great concentration of magical power known to wizardkind. The wand became the property of Rinaldi, an ancient and talented wizard, until a jealous warlock stole it and stuck it into a crystal ball where it remained for thousands of years.

In 2012, Rinaldi's descendant, Felix, removed the wand when he was being attacked by an evil wizard and used its magic to reverse the wizard's spells. The wand remained in his possession until it was stolen by the leader of the Angels of Darkness, Gorog, who then manipulated Felix into using the wand for evil purposes.

After Gorog was defeated Felix continued owning the wand but no longer used it in the service of darkness.

Powers and Abilities

Rinaldi's wand is considered the most powerful wand in the Wizard World, and has the following abilities:

  • Spellcasting - The power to manipulate reality through spells and potions. Any magic conjured with this wand will be increased in strength and cannot be reversed by other wizards, even powerful magic practitioners like Professor Crumbs.
  • Power Control - The power to remove, neutralize, augment or restore the powers of magical creatures. The wand augments the powers of any wizard wielding it to their maximum potential. However, the wand isn't able to override certain aspects of some spells, as seen when Felix casts the 'In Through the Out Door' spell (which doesn't affect non-magical beings) and Harper is able to escape the apartment building.

Popular Culture and Inspiration

Rinaldi's wand is likely inspired by two fictional artifacts.

The first artifact is the Sword in the Stone, which was a normal sword magically bound to a stone that can only be removed by the legitimate King of Camelot, from Arthurian legends. (Not to be confused with Excalibur, which was given to King Arthur by the Lady of the Lake)

The second artifact is the Elder Wand from the Harry Potter series, which is one of the fabled Deathly Hallows and considered the most powerful wand known to wizardkind.
