Mr. Stuffleby (the late Fred Willard) is a guidance counselor for the Wizarding World.

He has a large and seemingly permanent smile on his face, a result of him being one-eighth gargoyle on his mother's side. In episodes where he makes an appearance, the Russos (mostly Alex) simply cannot help but make some sort of joke or remark about his smile, and at times, he himself makes a joke about it.

His smile feels numb and bugs always go into his mouth, especially dragonflies, but because he's part gargoyle, he likes them.

Trivia[]

  • Richard Lewis was originally cast as Stuffleby, but backed out on the day of shooting. Showrunner Peter Murrieta called Willard, a longtime friend, at home to ask him to fill in as an emergency replacement.[1]
