"Helping Hand" is the fourteenth episode of Season 2 of Wizards of Waverly Place, and the thirty-fifth overall of the series. It first aired on February 16, 2009.

Overview[]

Justin creates the Helping Hand to assist busy wizards from the wizard world. Jerry bestows Alex and Max with numerous chores, but when Alex uses the Helping Hand to do her chores for her, the Helping Hand becomes powerless and fatigued, and when Superintendent Spellman of the wizard world visits to review the spell, everything goes messed up. However, Alex apologizes to the Helping Hand and encourages it to help Justin. The Helping Hand does a proper presentation and the spell gets certified.

This marks the first time someone invents their own spell (besides "make-em-ups").
This is the first time that one of the Russo siblings enters the Wizard World Portal, in this case it's Max.
Justin is the first Russo sibling to have his own spell.
It is unknown what the difference is between spell invention and "make-em-ups" as they basically do the same thing.
Justin's first middle name, Vincenzo, is mispronounced by Jerry as Vincenze.
