This is the friendship pairing between Harper Finkle and Max Russo.
Harper and Max's Friendship[]
Harper and Max consider each other good friends, though both of them do consider the other a bit odd at times. They don't really hang out during the first half of the show, but Season 4 is when they really interact with each other.
Harper-Max Moments[]
Season 1[]
Alex's Spring Fling[]
- At the Waverly Sub Station, Harper shows Max a collection of rocks with eyes glued onto them.
- When Harper freaks out once she realizes one of the eyes fell off the rock, Max just rolls his eyes and decides to talk to Justin.
Season 2[]
Harper Knows[]
- Max was the first person to ask why Harper was flying around as if she had wizard powers during the annual PopCon.
Helping Hand[]
- As Harper simultaneously screams and laughs at the sight of a disembodied hand on Jerry's shoulder, Max just stares at her with his arms crossed.
- When Max told the Russos about his adventure with selling his Cooperative Foot and making a fortune, Harper just looked at him in confusion.
Future Harper[]
- Harper tells Alex and Justin, "A lot of the stuff that happens in [Charmed and Dangerous] seems to happen to you two," completely forgetting about Max, who's sitting right next to her.
- When Alex reminds Max that his former pet lizard 'ran away,' Harper pats him on the back in sympathy.
- Harper and Max stand next to each other as Justin tries to figure out if H.J. Darling steals the Russos' life stories.
- When Max tells Alex, Justin, and Harper to talk in code to keep Darling from stealing their stories, Harper just stares at him in confusion.
- Along with that, Max also seemed confused when Harper awkwardly said goodbye as him, Alex, and Justin were just about to travel to Darling's home.
- Harper seemed to have already known about Max's appreciation of sugar cubes drenched in honey, or as he calls it, "boy salad."
- Once the Russos realize H.J. Darling is actually Harper from the future, Max asks how many fingers he's holding up in front of him, apparently to confirm or deny that she really is from the future.
- After Harper reads her friendship-ending speech to Max, she then asked Max what he thought of it.
- When Max brings up the note she used after the 'bad word,' Harper just tells him that bad words are a crutch, and lead to tattoos and piercings.
- Max complained about how hard he worked on gluing a plate together after Harper flipped out and dropped that plate when Alex and Justin came back.
