She is Roman and Milo Russo's mother and Billie Russo’s honorary mother. She is the daughter-in-law of Jerry and Theresa Russo. She is the sister-in-law of Alex and Max Russo. She was born on a Black Friday in late November in the 1990s. She was a student at Greenwald Middle School, and notoriously pranked the Principal every Halloween by egging their house.[4] She won Miss Staten Island in 2007. Giada first met Justin Russo sometime after the Family Wizard Competition and getting fired from WizTech. At some point Giada and Justin fell in love and they got married. At some point Giada and Justin's first child and son Roman Russo was born. Then at some point Giada and Justin's second child and son Milo Russo was born.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place[]
Giada Russo has been married to her husband Justin Russo for over a decade. They have two sons together, Roman and Milo Russo. Giada lives in the suburbs of Staten Island with her husband Justin Russo and their sons, where she works as an Investigative Reporter for WOWP News. Giada is completely unaware of her husband Justin Russo's wizard past until Giada's life changes on the morning of her husband’s 34th birthday.

On the morning of Giada's husband Justin Russo's 34th birthday, Giada says "Happy Birthday J-Man" to her husband Justin. Then Giada's husband Justin leans on their bed to give Giada a hug. Then Giada and Justin's children Roman and Milo Russo walk in their parents bedroom when their parents are hugging. Then Roman says "Gross get a room" to Giada and Justin. Then Giada tells her oldest Roman "This is our room." When their children leave their bedroom to go get dressed Giada tells Justin that she has a birthday surprise for him. Then Justin tells Giada that he doesn’t like surprises. Then Giada tells Justin that he will like this surprise. Giada gets dressed and goes to pick up Justin's birthday surprise which is a birthday cake. When Giada comes back home with Justin's birthday cake that she just picked up she is surprise to see her sister-in-law Alex Russo at her house on her husband's birthday and goes over to give Alex a hug. Then Giada asks Alex what she is doing here. Then Justin tells Giada that he knows that his birthday surprise from her is Giada inviting his younger sister Alex Russo over for his birthday. Then Giada tells Justin that her inviting his sister Alex over is not his birthday surprise. Then Giada asks her sister-in-law Alex how work has been for her. Then Alex replies that she is now on the Tribunal. Both Giada and Justin are shocked to hear that Alex is on the Tribunal now. Then Giada questions about there being a dog-walking (Justin lied to Giada about what she does for living by saying she is a Professional Dog-Walker) Tribunal.

In Everything is Not What it Seems, Giada first meets Billie when her sister-in-law Alex Russo brought Billie into her and Justin's house. When Giada's husband Justin Russo agrees to be Billie's Wizard Teacher, Billie moves in with the Russo family. After Giada has known Billie for only 2 days, Giada says that Billie is her "favorite" in front of her sons Roman and Milo Russo. Giada often gives Billie advice that a mother would normally give to their children, acting as a parent towards her, such as in While You Were Sleepcasting, Giada tells Billie that she shouldn’t be embarrassed to wear her headgear around Eva Morales if it’s something she needs and if Eva can’t accept that, then she is not worth her time.
