Alex and Justin's Sibling Relationship[]
Although they have many differences and always argue, they are occasionally seen to be very loving towards one another, As seen in Wizards vs. Werewolves and Wizards of Apartment 13B.
They tease one another at school and home, but at the end of the day, they're family and would go to the ends of the Earth for each other, and have. But in "Who Will Be The Family Wizard" it is seen that after Justin believes that Alex ruined the wizard competition. Justin held a grudge against her, but he forgives her, and the wizard competition moves on.
Alex and Justin may tease one another, but they would never let anything happen to the other person. As Justin often says, "it's a very complicated relationship." Some of the show's best moments are Alex and Justin's heart to hearts.

Alex's Side[]
Most of the time, Alex finds Justin annoying and a bit of a know-it-all, and also messes with him at times. But she does occasionally respect Justin as an older brother. Alex usually dislikes displays of affection, but goes out of the way to help Justin with any relationship issues he has.
Justin's Side[]
Justin shows protectiveness over Alex, taking on the role of being her older brother. And, even though he and Alex seem to make it to the point of their relationship breaking. They're always there to help each other out, no matter the previous arguments. He also admits that Alex does make him a better wizard.
Moments[]
Wizards of Waverly Place[]
Season 1[]
- After Alex complains about messing up the Edgebono Utoosis spell by thinking about Justin's barking rabbit, he makes fun of Alex and the duplicate by telling her, "Yep, it's perfect, because that's what I hear when you talk to me."
- Alex leaves Justin (and Max) to cover for her while she sneaks off to the Crazy Ten-Minute Sale.
- After Alex and Jerry go to the to the lair talk about her punishment, she points out that Justin broke his brand-new drill, to try to make what she did seem less wrong.
- Alex watched over a conversation Justin had with Miranda, and criticized when Justin shook hands instead of kissing Miranda.
- Afterward, Alex and Justin start talking more about why Justin and Miranda didn't kiss.
- During their conversation, Justin 'confesses' that he's never kissed a girl, and Alex tells him, "Wow. I find it hard to believe that you think that I find that hard to believe."
- Alex decides to help Justin on his first kiss by telling him to take Miranda to the scary, abandoned house by the corner.
- Alex (along with the rest of the Russos) seems pretty disgusted with Justin's "Training Montage Dance."
- To help Justin out on his first kiss with Miranda, Alex uses the McReary-Time Reary spell to go back a few seconds every time he messes up on the kiss.
- When Justin realizes that he had his first kiss before Alex did, he starts rubbing it all over Alex's face in school.
I Almost Drowned in a Chocolate Fountain
- After Justin hears about Alex failing her Spanish mid-term, he tells the news to her parents after school.
- While they're down at the Wizard lair, Justin notices that Alex used a pocket elf to cheat on a test, and threatens to tell Jerry about it.
- Soon, Justin decides not to tell on Alex, but instead to get even with her. Afterward, Alex mockingly tells Justin that there's no way he could get even, leaving him more determined to get her back.
- When Justin's plan backfires, he decides to go to the restaurant where Alex is on her date to find a way to sneak that bar of chocolate.
- Luckily, Justin's plan to get back at Alex is a huge success! But when Jerry hears about the whole chocolate incident, Alex decides to take the blame for Justin's prank.
- Alex asks Justin what a serving wench is, and lied to him by telling him about a test on the medieval food service industry that Jerry was supposedly going to give, which was purportedly the reason why Alex asked about the serving wench.
- When Justin learns that there was no Medieval-food-service-industry-test, he seemed pretty upset, because he crammed for that test.
- While chasing after Frankie and his Enforcers, he stops to meet up with Alex at the 'Gurtbarn and ask about her friendship with Harper.

Alex: Justin, help me. What spell do I use?
Justin: Why would I help you?
Alex: Because you're my brother. Look, I'm sorry you didn't...
Justin: I'm your brother?
Alex: No. No. No, Justin. Please, please, you can't leave me here. Please remember. I'm Alex. I'm your little sister. I taunt you and I tease you and I make your life miserable,
but you love me anyway. You're everything that I've ever wanted to be. I'm jealous of how smart you are and how kind and how nice. Please don't leave me here.
Justin: I'd never leave you. I don't know who you are, but I believe you.

Everything is Not What it Seems
Alex: Surprise!
Justin: No freakin' way!
Alex: Oh, I know! I look fantastic, don't I?
Justin: Alex, are you here for my birthday?
Alex: It’s your yeah, it's your birthday that's why that's why I came you know?
Justin: Aww.
Alex: That's why we're here we came for your birthday?
Justin: Uh, what are these?
Alex: Uh, hilarious novelty tees.
Justin: About wizards.
Alex: Well, we are wizards.
Justin shushes Alex.
Alex: Okay, we're talking over here now.
Justin: Remember how the last time we talked, you asked me when I was going to tell Giada and the kids that I was from a family of wizards?
Alex: Yeah.
Justin: Well, I kinda sort of haven't.
Alex: You're still lying to your family, Justin? I'm... I'm so proud of you.
Justin: I'm not lying, Alex. Technically, I'm not a wizard. Okay? Anymore. I haven't picked up a wand since I got fired from WizTech.
Alex: Oh... Yeah. The unicorn incident. That was hilarious--
Justin: Awful.
Alex: Awful! It was so awful. That's what I was trying to say. Uh, but don't you miss it? You know, teaching wizards?
Justin: No, I don't even think about it every day.
Alex: Yeah. Yeah, they were like, "Alex, there are some pretty bad dogs out there, and... and you're the only one that can help."
Justin: Oh, you're the only one, huh? You?
Alex: Yeah. Why is it so hard to believe? I mean, I am the family... dog walker.
Justin: But I practically taught you how to walk those dogs. If anyone should have been on the Tribunal, we both know that it should have been moi.
Alex: Okay. Well, if you wanted to make the Tribunal so badly, maybe you shouldn't have hung up your leash.
Alex: Dude, what's your problem? I thought you were happy you left wizarding behind.
Justin: I am, okay? I like my quiet, predictable, no surprises life.
Alex: Then why are you acting like you have flarf for brains?
Justin: First, we don't use that kind of language in this house. And second, if you're not my birthday surprise, what are you doing here Alex?
Alex: Okay fine. Um, Billie is one of the most extraordinary wizards I've ever met. But she needs...
Justin: Listen, Alex. I'm sorry that I snapped at you, okay? It's just, you were talking about all the great stuff you're doing, and I got jealous.
Alex: Really? Of me?
Justin: Yeah. You know, maybe I do miss being a wizard.
Alex: I'm so happy to hear you say that.
Justin: Why?
Alex: Okay, Billie is an incredibly powerful wizard, but she's rebellious, and stubborn and sarcastic. She has no discipline.
Justin: Sounds like someone else I know.
Alex: Haha. Like me, I get it. But I had Dad and I had you. Billie has no one. Every teacher she's ever had has given up on her. It's kinda why I'm here. I'm--
Justin: No, Alex. No. I mean, I... I... I... I don't teach wizards anymore.
Alex: Justin, you were the youngest headmaster of WizTech in history.
Justin: Yeah, and then I got fired.
Alex: So, what? You just hide out here in Staten Island and deny who you are?
Justin: I don't want my family to know anything about my past.
Alex: So, you're ashamed of being a wizard?
Justin: No. A failure.
Alex: You only fail if you give up, Justin. Billie needs a teacher who believes in her. She needs you, like I needed you.
Justin: I don't know if I have it in me to try again.
