Alex and Justin's Sibling Relationship
Justin shows protectiveness over Alex, taking on the role of being her older brother. And, even though he and Alex seem to make it to the point of their relationship breaking. They're always there to help each other out, no matter the previous arguments.
They tease one another at school and home, but at the end of the day, they're family and would go to the ends of the Earth for each other, and have. But in "Who Will Be The Family Wizard" it is seen that after Justin believes that Alex ruined the wizard competition. Justin held a grudge against her, but he forgives her, and the wizard competition moves on.
Alex and Justin have a complex relationship. Alex is often making fun of Justin, while Justin is often saving Alex or helping her when she makes a mess of magic. However, we see a different side of Alex in Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. In a serious situation, Alex finds the time to compliment Justin's wizarding skills. There have also been times when Alex needed to save Justin, such as, "Wizards vs. Angels" when Justin falls for an angel of darkness.
Alex and Justin may tease one another, but they would never let anything happen to the other person. As Justin often says, "it's a very complicated relationship." Some of the show's best moments are Alex and Justin's heart to hearts. Alex dislikes displays of affection, but often hugs Justin when they're making up or there is a heartfelt moment.
They are polar opposites, but that doesn't stop them from being great influences in each other's lives. Justin admits that Alex makes him a better wizard. From the start of the series and on it is obvious that they are the most important people in each other's lives.
As seen in Report Card, Justin is willing to give up his powers to save Alex's because she makes him a better wizard and can't do the competition without her. And as seen in Delinquent Justin, Alex made a clone of Justin four years ago and sent him off to college so that Justin wouldn't have to go to college and eventually leave her.
